Jackson Hospital Announces August 2021 Employee of The Month

Jackson Hospital congratulates Gary Stephens, Director of Chipola Fitness Center and Chipola Fitness Too, for being named August 2021 Employee of The Month.

In lieu of an award luncheon during the time of COVID, Jackson Hospital’s Employee Leadership Council presented Mr. Stephens with the award and a luncheon will be held at a later date. Hospital CEO, Brooke Donaldson, expressed thanks on behalf of the Board of Trustees, Administration, and Employees, indicating the number of great things employees achieved during the month. 

Mr. Stephens was recognized for his selfless act for always being ready to lend a hand when needed.   He was instrumental in the design and installation of scrubber windows in specified patient rooms.  He modified the windows to ensure the patients received natural light that is necessary for a patient’s mental health during a hospital stay.

“Gary is always willing to help in any way he can.  He is definitely someone you can depend on to jump in and help with a project,” remarks Brooke Donaldson, CEO.  “I am proud to have him as part of our team at Jackson Hospital.”

Jackson Hospital’s customer service ideals are outlined in its program called “Give ‘em the Pickle.”  The Hospital’s customized program with video titled “What’s your Pickle?” with Bob Farrell, is produced by Media Partners™.  Patients, visitors, and colleagues submit nominations of staff from whom they received superior customer service.  Each month a “Pickle” luncheon is held to recognize the top nominees.  During the exclusive celebration with Administration, each participant is served a specially prepared meal by members of the Hospital’s Employee Leadership Council.
