September Employee of the Month

Grand Ridge resident and Case Manager, Krissy Lamoureaux, is awarded Jackson Hospital’s Employee of the Month for September 2018.

During the September 28 recognition luncheon, Hospital CEO, Jim Platt expressed thanks on behalf of the Board of Trustees, Administration, and Employees, indicating the number of great things employees achieved during the month.  He said, “Our biggest strength is our staff and culture providing excellent care to patients.”

Krissy w

as named Employee of the Month for arranging transportation for a patient who was discharging from the Emergency Department.  When outside transportation service was unavailable, Krissy made the decision to drive the patient home.  Along the way, Krissy made several stops to pick up items the patient needed before returning home.

Krissy has been a part of the Jackson Hospital family for three years. When named Employee of the Month, Krissy said,  “I’m blessed to have been given the opportunity to help someone in need.  It means so much to make even just a small difference in someone’s life.”

The Case Management Department assists each discharging patient to make certain the patient returns home with the medication, supplies or other healthcare service needed for a safe and complete recovery.

Jackson Hospital’s customer service ideals are outlined in its program called “Give ‘em the Pickle.”  The Hospital’s customized program with video titled “What’s your Pickle?” with Bob Farrell, produced by Media Partners™, is implemented by Chief Nursing Officer Robbin Catt Pumphrey.

Patients, visitors, and colleagues submit nominations of staff from whom they received superior customer service.  Each month a “Pickle” luncheon is held to recognize the top nominees.  During the exclusive celebration with Administration, each participant is served a specially prepared meal by members of the Hospital’s Employee Leadership Council.

Jackson Hospital is proud to recognize Krissy Lamoureaux and thanks her along with every employee, volunteer, and Medical Staff member for providing high-quality, leading-edge healthcare service.  Each day Jackson Hospital moves closer to reaching its vision of “being the best community healthcare system in the nation.”
